Three Eyed Monster

 

“Are you sure about this?”

You’ll be fine.

“I don’t know. He looks pretty fierce.”

Are you kidding? He
sleeps all day. Besides, he only has four teeth.

“That’s one for each eye and an extra for who knows where.”

You are overreacting.

“I think he moved. Hurry, take the picture! TAKE THE PICTURE!”

 

I have some exciting news. After some gentle prodding (OK,
it was real shoving) from a friend, I now have three paintings, including the
one featured in the photo above, in a store called Accents with Style. They are
located at 37 Wilton Road, Milford, NH 03055. If you are in the area, please
stop by. The store is full of beautiful works of art and well worth the look.

Saturday Coffee Monster

This morning has bite. There’s a chill in the air, autumn is
on its way.  I don’t know about you, but
I could use a cup of coffee. I sketched this monster to help me get a start on
the day.
It seems to have done the job. Gotta go.

Six Word Monster: Wrong

Wha?

How could someone write that? Don't they know how wrong they are? I could just kill them. I could fire deadly mind bullets from my eyes. I don't even know what that means, but they make me so angry. If only I could post death and destruction... Yes! Yes, I will construct a retort so scathing it will leave this wretch feeling empty and alone. In my righteous fury I will misspell several words and forgo punctuation entirely. He will weep for mercy and it will be glorious.

In a somewhat related note, news. co. au points out that internet trolls might be crazy. Yeah, maybe they are.

This monster was created on my iPad using the Procreate app. I've downloaded a couple of design apps for the iPad and I've enjoyed exploring what they can do.  I find drawing on the iPad quite natural and very entertaining.

Six Word Monster: Riding the Waves

 

I swiped today’s monster from something a friend of mine wrote, describing how she felt after a particularly stressful week. I had to rewrite it a bit to fit my self –imposed six word limitation. The actual quote is, “I am riding the wave and I am grateful for the ocean.” If I understand her correctly, it means life, like a wave has its ups and downs (or its crest and trough, if you need your metaphor to have to proper labeling.) but she’s grateful to be here.  It’s a good way to look at things. It is very easy to dwell on the negative, despite the fact it never helps. Plus it’s always good to be thankful. My monster is depicting a bit more literal translation, but it doesn’t hurt to be grateful for the real ocean.
