It’s difficult to write about death and loss with out invoking some cliché.
My friend's mother died earlier this week. I haven't seen her in, well, I don't remember the last time I saw her. That's my loss, really. She was a world class lady, both warm and generous.
Many of my friends are old friends. I like the comfort of people who have known me for a long time. I don’t get together with friends much anymore. Somewhere along the way I became a bit of a recluse. Now that we are older, it is much harder to get our schedules in synch.
Anyway, this is for you, Rosalie. Rest in peace.
Very touching. I love the picture.
